The vibram® Tec hiking sole with the Capricorn Grip sole concept developed by Mammut® is sharp-edged with a rough profile and produces the highest grip on fine outcrops and edges. Modeled on the ibex, which demonstrates top climbing performance with its sickle-shaped hoof. The Climbing Zone on the tip of the sole also underscores this. Modelled on the ibex, which demonstrates top climbing performance with its sickle-shaped hoof. The Climbing Zone on the tip of the sole also underscores this. • The patented Mammut® sole concept with customized support and cushioning to support natural foot roll, and thus prevent fatigue (danger of twisting). • This system is based on the three functionalities of support, damping and climate control. Different footbeds accentuate different functionalities – up to two at the same time. The footbed used depends on the main activity for which the boot is designed. • This technical hiking sole developed in cooperation with vibram® features patented Mammut® Rolling Concept technology. Its sharpedged, abrasive and mediumdepth lugs ensure surefootedness and perfect grip, as underscored by the Climbing Zone integrated into the tip (Capricorn Grip). • 100% guaranteed waterproof thanks to premium quality high-fitting, sealed, insert socks made of PTFC (PolyTetraFluorCarbone). The Performance version offers excellent breathability with average warming ability. • Classy and robust full-grain leather with slight sanding to create the characteristic velvet appearance. Depending on the required finish, Nubuk can be waxed, brushed or left untreated. • Extremely robust, durable intermediate sole wedge of PU (Polyurethane) foam with excellent cushioning properties. • This insert sole, which was developed by Mammut® and Ortholite®, is made of open pore PU foam to guarantee breathability, excellent wicking and maximum cushioning. The upper material is made out of finely woven textile. |
